Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro: here are their technical sheets that seem to be flawless

Evan Blass was able to obtain information on the technical data sheets of Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. Let us take stock of the two new Chinese florets.

The season for the new flagships is nearing completion for the year 2017. After the Nokia 8, Sony Xperia XZ1, LG V30 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8, only the high-end Apple products , Google and Huawei. The latter will present its series Mate 10 on October 16 and begins to communicate on its devices, notably on the integration of SoC Kirin 970 which relies on artificial intelligence.

The Venture Beat site was able to get work from Huawei's marketing department, which allows us to learn more about the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro technical datasheets.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro

We start with the most anticipated and most high-end product, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. As the recent leaks suggested, it is he who will have the right to an edge-to-edge screen, the trend of the year on mobile.

According to our colleagues, it will be an IPS LCD of 5.99 inches with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels, giving a ratio of 18/9 display similar to that of the LG G6 for example . Here are the other characteristics revealed by the leak:

The manufacturer appears to have been able to meet certain delays it may have on competition, in particular by offering a water-resistant chassis. One can note the use of a battery of high capacity that does not seem to affect the thickness of the phone too much. With a Kirin 970 engraved in 10 nm by TSMC, the phone could beat new records of autonomy.

Huawei seems to continue to use the same type of dual camera with an RGB sensor and a monochrome sensor, both using the same lenses. According to the datasheet, Huawei would be able to catch up with LG, which also uses a f / 1.6 lens on the LG V30.

Difficult to find a fault in this first overview of the datasheet: latest generation processor, large amount of RAM, lots of storage, a large battery, a water resistant chassis and a borderless screen. The Mate 10 Pro seem to simply check all the boxes of an excellent smartphone in 2017. Too bad not to use an OLED type screen.

According to our colleagues, the release of the phone would be scheduled for the month of December, but without certainty.

Huawei Mate 10

The Huawei Mate 10 seems to have been designed to be sold cheaper, and thus avoid entering the territory of LG, Samsung and Apple and their smartphones to more than 800 euros. Its characteristics are therefore a little less impressive:

This smartphone seems to benefit from some components similar to the Mate 10 Pro, but with a more traditional chassis. This strategy seems, according to rumors, similar to that borrowed by Apple which provides a very high-end iPhone X, and a more classic iPhone 7S.

The Huawei Mate 10 would also be unveiled on October 16, but its release would be much closer than that of the Mate 10 Pro as it would be scheduled in October.
